So my oldest son tells me that his dad is the tallest person ever, so not true my husband is 5ft 10in. However my boy doesn't believe me, so first I look up the World Record for the Tallest Man EVER!!!. This turns out to be a Robert Pershing Wadlow from the USA who when last measured on 27 June 1940 to be 8 ft 11.1 in tall.
Show the information to my son, and he says "Mom he don't count, he died." Okay I give him credit the is true. So I look up the Tallest Man alive to find Sultan Kösen from Turkey who measured 8 ft 3 in during 2011. However he can't picture how tall that is.
Going to my husband tool bag I grab a tape measure and move things around in the living room so I can get 9 ft for tape measure to out layout on the floor. Then I go the blue painters tape and had my son lay out on the ground, feet at the bottom of the tape measure, and then marked his height. Then I marked my husband height at a guess (since he was not home) and marked Sultan Kosen height.
He was so shocked, he wanted to see pictures of the guy. Therefor back to the computer, and one google search later I had a bunch of pictures. Now he asks me every week to look of some new fact for him, like how to say chocolate toilet in ASL.
